Trump to 60 Minutes interviewer Stahl “I’m President, your not” slams for Dishonest media
President Trump once again showed a member of the media who is boss. And he did it in a very gracious manner. Trump sat for an interview with Lesley Stahl and discussed far-reaching topics from global warming to North Korea. The most contentious portion of the interview came while discussing dishonest media and viciousness of Washington D.C.
At one point Stahl asked “what’s the biggest surprise” he’s learned as President? Trump cited the duplicity of Washington politicians, but when he relayed how “the other thing I’ve really learned is I never knew how dishonest the media was and I really mean it. I’m not saying that as a soundbite. I never knew how dishonest,” Stahl cut him off: “I’m going to change the subject again.”
Referring to an earlier exchange, Trump pointed out: “Well, no, even the way you asked me a question, like, about separation. When I say Obama did it, you don’t want to talk about it.”
Trump was discussing how he thought real estate people in Manhattan were tough until he got to Washington and discovered the viciousness of politics.
Stahl asked who was tougher Manhattan or Washington people.
President Donald Trump: They’re babies, the political people. This is the most deceptive, vicious world. It is vicious, it’s full of lies, deceit and deception. You make a deal with somebody and it’s like making a deal with– that table.
Lesley Stahl: Give me an example.
Of course Trump wouldn’t give an example because he has to work with the people in Washington still and the dishonest media will lie in their reporting. President Trump and his press secretary have been savage on the media. CNN Jim Acosta has been Sarah Sanders little bitch whipping boy. It is kind of refreshing after years of the press reporting whatever they want about Republicans without repercussions.
