Addressing the elephant in the room

Kanye West comes down on Obama , had 8 years and nothing changed in Chicago

Kanye West has taken a lot of heat from the left the past couple of days after expressing his love for President Trump. West defiantly held steadfast today posting a picture with a Make America Great Again hat.

“You don’t have to agree with trump but the mob can’t make me not love him,” West tweeted earlier Wednesday. “We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought.”

Kanye West famously met with Trump in 2016 at Trump Tower during the then-President-elect’s transition period and that encounter also generated intense backlash from West’s fans.

He defended the meeting in a series of now deleted tweets and wrote,”I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues … I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change.”

President Obama ran in 2008 on a platform of Change. Kanye is correct that Obama changed nothing in Chicago in 8 years. He backed Rahm Emanuel, his former chief of staff to be mayor of Chicago. And Emanuel has been an epic failure.

Chicago’s crime rate has been out of control under Rahm Emanuel and Obama did absolutely nothing to help. Ja’Mal Green a community organizer in  Chicago was very disappointed with the Change that Obama made in city.

Green says he wishes President Obama would have used his position to bring more attention to the issues impacting black communities, like poverty, the underfunding of schools and the lack of economic investment in rough neighborhoods.
“We are not going to be saying thank you for the eight years of work that he didn’t do in the black communities,” Green says of Obama’s return to Chicago.
Kanye West has staked down a bold position but he is not alone. More and more African-Americans are departing the Democrat party and becoming Trump supporters. The numbers may go even higher after the congressional black caucus sat on their rears as Trump spoke of record low black unemployment.
