Addressing the elephant in the room

President Trump’s State of the Union address “era of Economic Surrender totally over”

State of the Union

President Trump’s first State of the Union address laid out an aggressive agenda. The President had five goals for the State of the Union address. First pressure congress on immigration reform. Second to lay out his infrastructure plan (and it doesn’t include rebuilding foreign mosque). Third taking an economic victory lap. The dow jones had over 75 record finishes in 2017. The Presidents tax cut plan has prompted 250 businesses thus far to give bonuses, raises and increase spending in the US.

Fourth on the Presidents agenda set the stage for mid-term elections. The fight with the tax bill and immigration reform have shown that Democrats have no plan to work with the President. So he will make his case for more Republicans in Congress to push his America First agenda. Lastly expect something different Trump to shake things up a bit.

“Tonight, I want to talk about what kind of future we are going to have, and what kind of nation we are going to be. All of us, together, as one team, one people, and one American family,”

“Tonight I am extending an open hand to work with members of both parties, Democrats and Republicans, to protect our citizens, of every background, color, and creed,”

Trump touted “we ended the war on energy and ended the war on beautiful clean coal”

The thing that was glaring about the State of the Union is how detached and sad and pathetic the Democrats are. When you cannot even stand up and clap for record low African-american unemployment you have reached a new low. There was nothing earth shattering in the State of the Union but Trump made it abundantly clear that he stands with American and puts America first. That is refreshing.
