California Attorney General warns businesses to not cooperate with Federal immigration sweep
Sanctuary State California will punish businesses that cooperate with Federal Immigration officials according to Attorney General Xavier Becerra. The Attorney General said on Thursday that the sanctuary state will prosecute any private business that helps federal immigration authorities as they seek to enforce immigration laws that have existed for years.
Rumors are that ICE (Immigration and Customs enforcement) is planning a crackdown on California businesses employing illegals and the Attorney General is proud of California Sanctuary State. According to the Sacremento Bee.
The state’s top cop issued a warning to California employers Thursday that businesses face legal repercussions, including fines up to $10,000, if they assist federal immigration authorities with a potential widespread immigration crackdown.
“It’s important, given these rumors that are out there, to let people know – more specifically today, employers – that if they voluntarily start giving up information about their employees or access to their employees in ways that contradict our new California laws, they subject themselves to actions by my office,” state Attorney General Xavier Becerra said at a news conference. “We will prosecute those who violate the law.”

The Attorney General makes his threat against businesses enforcing Federal Law as Democrats in the Senate are just hours from shutting down the Federal Government for 800,000 dreamers (average age 23.8). Question is how can these Sanctuary Cities and the Sanctuary State of California so blatantly disregard Federal Law? Federal funding should be cutoff immediately for their state and cities.
