Environmentalist seek to use small butterfly to delay progress on Border Security Wall

butterfly

A small butterfly native to southern California and northwestern Mexico could be threatened by President Donald Trump’s proposed border wall.

The Quino checkerspot butterfly was once common to the area but has seen its habitat eroded over the past century and is now listed as an endangered species, according to the Center for Biological Diversity. It’s one of the species listed in a lawsuit brought against the U.S. Department of Homeland Security by the center and other environmental groups over the wall.

Environmentalists claim the butterfly and a number of other species, including the Riverside fairy shrimp and the Pacific pocket mouse, could be in trouble if the Trump administration goes through with its plan to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.

“It really can’t fly above around 15 feet above the ground,” J.P. Rose, a staff attorney for the Center for Biological Diversity, told ABC affiliate KGTV in San Diego. “So if you put in a 30- to 40-foot wall along the border, the ability of it to migrate from northern Mexico to the U.S. is going to be impossible.”

The lawsuit is challenging DHS’s ability to waive environment laws requiring review before the wall is built. But the DHS is arguing that it is within its right to issue the waivers.

According to The Associated Press, the Trump administration has issued three such waivers since August of last, two to build barriers in parts of California and one in part of New Mexico.

Recently the Department of Homeland Security issued a waiver citing its authority under a 2005 law to set aside any laws and regulations when necessary for border infrastructure.

“While the waiver eliminates DHS’s obligation to comply with various laws with respect to covered projects, the department remains committed to environmental stewardship with respect to these projects,” it said. “DHS has been coordinating and consulting — and intends to continue doing so — with other federal and state resource agencies to ensure impacts to the environment, wildlife, and cultural and historic artifacts are analyzed and minimized, to the extent possible.”

Similar environmental concerns sought to halt the construction of the Alaska Pipeline years ago. The arguments against the pipeline included constant oil spills due to earthquakes and other acts of nature, disruption to the lives of native populations in Alaska, endangerment of fish, and threats to wildlife, such as elk, polar bears, and moose.

The Obama administration blocked the Keystone pipeline with Obama saying  “how Keystone impacted greenhouse gas emissions would affect our decision,” lamenting “we’re already seeing severe weather patterns increase.” Sounds like he got the quote directly from Al Gore or the Sierra Club. The wall will be built the only thing the environmental objections do is delay progress. This is what the Socialist agenda of environmentalism is all about, delaying progress.

University teaches white employees how to overcome the guilt of…….being white

white employees

University holds a conference on how to train their white employees to overcome the guilt of being white. All of this is a designed plan. The NFL kneeling that was allowed to go on for so long under Roger Goodell that he finally caved and gave upwards of 90 million for social justice cause. The push for DACA and amnesty in Congress even in Republican circles. The white guilt workshops are designed to give white people guilt even if we don’t already have it. The purpose then is accepting the reparations in the form of black social justice and receiving illegal aliens.

A two-day professional development conference held recently at the University of Michigan included a training session that aimed to help white employees deal with their “whiteness” so they could become better equipped to fight for social justice causes, according to organizers.

Participants who took part in the “Conversations on Whiteness” session, held December 5 during the university’s Student Life Professional Development Conference, were taught to “recognize the difficulties they face when talking about social justice issues related to their White identity, explore this discomfort, and devise ways to work through it,” the university’s website states.

The goal was to help participants in “unpacking Whiteness” to support students and staff with issues and efforts “related to identity and social justice,” the website added.

The “Conversations on Whiteness” session was one of more than a dozen workshops offered at the conference, held Dec. 4 and 5. The whiteness session utilized the “Privileged Identity Exploration Model” to help white participants explore the “discomfort” of their “white identity,” according to organizers.

First introduced in 2007 by University of Iowa professor Sherry Watt in a College Student Affairs Journal article, the model purports to be a method for understanding how people react to stimuli that alert them of the privilege they hold. The model is to be used by “facilitators” to “engage participants in discussions about diversity,” according to Watt.

Watt states there are eight defenses people use to avoid recognizing their privilege. Examples of defenses include “denial,” where someone simply refuses to admit their privilege, and “minimization,” where someone trivialize the impact of their privilege.

The College Fix reached out for comment to the three university staff members listed as facilitators of the event: Abby Priehs: associate director of residence education; Steve Bodei: associate director of Student Life Leadership Education; and Nick Smith: director of campus involvement.

When asked why the “unpacking Whiteness” event was created, and whether or not students at the University of Michigan had complained about the quality of racial discourse on campus, Smith responded: “This is an internal training for U-M Student Life staff.” A subsequent query to Smith was not returned.

Neither Priehs nor Bodei responded to phone calls from The Fix on Monday night.

The Student Life Professional Development Conference was based around the overall theme of “Identity, Wellness, & Work: Healthier, Happier, & More Efficient,” according to the University of Michigan’s student life website.

Additional sessions were titled “Building and Strengthening Your Assessment Muscles,” “Empower, Safety and You,” and “Making Meaning: the Role of Spirituality in Higher Education.”

Another session, titled “I Don’t Feel Safe Talking About Race,” was devoted to giving staff “tools to create a safer climate to promote dialogue around racial issues.” Meanwhile “The Intersection of Well-being, and Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion on Campus” workshop aimed to help Student Life staff “work towards wellness justice for all students on campus.”

The University of Michigan is not alone in holding trainings to help staff cope with “intersecting identities.”

American University hosted a training event earlier this year designed to help staff understand their own identities.

Among the research guides available online from the University of San Francisco, meanwhile, is a “White Privilege Resource Guide” that provides resources to help researchers deal with their various forms of privilege.

Teaching white guilt to white employees is something that is here to stay. Expect this to become more prevalent in grade school and high schools as the liberals will want to indoctrinate our children. America needs to take a close look at Sweden where their acceptance of diversity in accepting unfiltered immigration has nearly taken away their national identity. And muslims are close to taking over their country.

Teenagers are better behaved today but lonelier and more isolated, why is that?

behaving better

Teenagers and especially ones from more affluent countries are behaving better but are also more lonely and isolated. This is a trend across the globe from the United States to South Korea teenagers are getting into less trouble than the generations before them.

According to the Economist even though teens have much more on their minds such as college, career choices as well as if there will even be a job for them with robots taking over many jobs. Even with these concerns they are behaving better but perhaps lacking some of the fun of past generations.

Teens are getting drunk less, starting drinking later and sipping rather than chugging. Pubs and nightclubs are decreasing by the thousands because of the reduced number of young adults frequenting them.

behaving better

They are doing less drugs than past generations. A rising proportion of teenagers have never tried anything mind-altering, including alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, inhalants and sedatives. The proportion of complete abstainers rose from 11% to 31% in Sweden between 2003 and 2015, and from 23% to an astounding 61% in Iceland. In America all illicit drugs with the exception of marijuana (which is not illegal in other countries) are in decline. Thankfully so is opioid.

Fighting and bullying are in decline and teens are having less sex. In 1991, 54% of American teenagers in grades nine to 12 (ages 14-18) reported that they were sexually experienced, and 19% claimed to have had sex with at least four partners. In 2015 those proportions were 41% and 12%. America’s teenage birth rate crashed by two-thirds during the same period.

One possible explanation for teens behaving better could be a closer bond with their parents. In 28 out of 34 rich countries surveyed by the World Health Organisation, the proportion of 15-year-old boys who said they found it easy to talk to their fathers rose between 2001-02 and 2013-14. Girls found it easier to talk to their fathers in 29 out of 34 countries. The trend for mothers is similar but less strong

Another possibility is the teens increased attention to their school work as more teens believe college is in their future.

Lastly technology has probably led to teens behaving better. By their own account, 15-year-olds in OECD countries spent 146 minutes a day online on weeknights in 2015, up from 105 minutes in 2012. Chileans lead the rich world, putting in an average of 195 minutes on weekdays and 230 minutes on weekend days.

behaving better

This is how my generation carried our tunes

This is where the problem lays with the teens today. Even though they are behaving better, smoking less, having less sex, doing less drugs, they are lonely and isolated. They have trouble making and keeping friends. They talk less and play more video games. In past generations you had to have a TV in your room to get away. If parents did not provide a TV you had to watch it with the family. Or go hang out with your friends. Now if you want to watch different TV than your family you can just go to your room and stream it on your smartphone.

Technology is a great thing. It has advanced so quickly we have so much power on a phone or Ipad, more than a room full of computers 20-30 years ago. But they have led to more lonely and isolated people. Probably not just teenagers. We have hundreds if not thousands of Facebook friends and Twitter followers. But think today how many friends and followers you have that would be there for you if you had a problem. Maybe teens and adults should spend less time on their phone and more time building real relationships.

5 Reasons why Parkland school shooting happened that do not blame guns

students

On Wednesday afternoon the lives of 17 families in Parkland Florida changed and will never be the same again. Nikolas Cruz took a Uber to Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and opened fire with an ending the lives of 17 students  and teachers. A football coach was killed as a hero shielding students leaving behind a wife and children of his own. Yesterday I did not post anything as I was numb for these families. I have two kids still in High School and this could happen anywhere.

Liberals and liberal news is very quick to call for gun control as they did after the Las Vegas shootings. I think the issue is not a gun issue but a people issue. Every day in cities with some of the toughest gun control laws in the country people are murdered with guns. Chicago, Baltimore, Washington DC have some of the highest murder rates in the country and also some of the toughest gun control laws.

What is the problem? I believe there are 5 issues to blame for violence such as what happened in Parkland yesterday.

Lack of respect for authority. Although 19 states still allow corporal punishment in schools between 1974 and 1994, 25 states would ban the practice, recognizing that it was an ineffective and inappropriate school discipline measure.I am not sure what research they used but I graduated High School in 1979 and throughout my school years corporal punishment was allowed. The teachers had a paddle hanging on the chalkboard and almost daily there was a paddling in the hallway. Sitting in class I would hear 3 swats and students  in the classroom sat up and shut their mouths.

students

No respect for the sanctity of life. Since Roe Vs Wade ruling in 1979 there have been over 60 million very young lives ended through abortion before they began. Students grow up thinking this is acceptable. They see liberal politicians and even teachers supporting pro-choice. They do not see an example from leaders that the baby that was killed had no choice in the matter.

No parental leadership. More than 40% of traditional marriages end in divorce since 1980. Children are growing up in split households and the discipline is not happening in homes. Corporal punishment ended in the schools and more and more parents have ended it in the home. At some point some liberal came up with time-out and reasoning with children and this does not work. I am definitely not advocating child abuse but children need discipline and when they do not receive it students  have no respect for authority.

students

Violence in tv and video games. I know I will get push back here. Already on Twitter I had someone tell me I am a Communist and should move to North Korea where they have censorship. I am far from a Communist most would describe me as a right-wing extremist. I am saying parents should monitor what their kids are watching on TV and the video games they are playing. When my son was around 10 years old we went to a used video store and one of the video games he bought was people running from cops and being disrespectful. I went with him and made him take the game back and explained why this was wrong.

Lastly I believe the disrespect for police and the military are a reason for school shootings and mass shootings. For two years we have had the anthem debate with the NFL. Players starting with Colin Kaepernick started the movement to protest blacks being shot by police. No doubt there are a few bad cops and there have been wrongful deaths in the black and white community. The police and military are doing low paying jobs and supporting and protecting all of us. The NFL should be ashamed of themselves for teaching students hate and disrespect for police.

Hillary Clinton knew that no charges would be filed prior to Comey testimony on email scandal

Hillary Clinton

According to Fox News Hillary Clinton knew that no charges would be filed against her before her testimony in the email server scandal. With the release of 400 pages of additional text messages between two senior FBI officials.

One of the text messages between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page indicates that Hillary Clinton knew that charges would not be filed against her prior to her testimony. Strzok was a veteran investigator in the Robert Mueller probe to manufacture collusion evidence on President Trump. He was fired when text messages were discovered that he was not a big fan of President Trump and quite probably a Hillary Clinton supporter.

Additionally Peter Strzok and Lisa Page were reportedly having an affair during the investigation. Strzok was reassigned to the FBI Human Resources division. Strzok  was one of the officials who interviewed Hillary Clinton in the investigation into her private email server, which led to no charges being filed.

One exchange between Strzok and Page, dated July 1, 2016, referenced then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch’s decision to accept the FBI’s conclusion in the Clinton investigation. Lynch’s announcement came days after it was revealed that the attorney general and former President Bill Clinton had an impromptu meeting aboard her plane in Phoenix.

“Timing looks like hell,” Strzok texted Page.

“Yeah, that is awful timing,” Page agreed. In a later message, she added: “It’s a real profile in courage [sic], since she knows no charges will be brought.”

Four days later FBI Director James Comey announced that no charges would be brought against Hillary Clinton even though her actions were “extremely reckless.”

Hillary Clinton and her douchbag husband always seem to be in the middle of controversy and always seem to come out of it with no charges. It will be interesting in the next three weeks to see if the FISA memo release finally brings the justice the American people deserve for Hillary Clinton.

Obama personal involvement in Hillary Clinton email text between dirty FBI agents

personal involvement

Thousands of new emails have been released from FBI agent Peter Strzok and FBI attorney Lisa Page who were lovers. They reveal the personal involvement of President Obama in the Hillary Clinton email scandal.

Found in a new batch of released text messages between FBI agents is an exchange that reveals that then-President Barack Obama wanted “to know everything we’re doing,” Fox News is reporting.

That exchange has piqued the suspicion of Senate investigators who now want to know Obama’s level of involvement with the FBI’s investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server and exposed emails, Fox reports.

The new batch of texts is being released by the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee with an accompanying report titled, “The Clinton Email Scandal and the FBI’s Investigation of it,” Fox News reports.

FBI agent Peter Strzok sent the text to FBI attorney Lisa Page on Sept. 2, 2016, about having to prep then-FBI Director James Comey because “POTUS wants to know everything we’re doing,” Fox reported.

Further, the texts between Strzok and Page also reveal the previously reported timeline of the new batch of emails that were discovered on the laptop of disgraced Congressman Anthony Weiner, whose wife, Huma Abedin, was the top adviser to Hillary, Fox News reports.

Strzok texted Page about the email dump on Sept. 28, but then FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe apparently held off moving that discovery up the chain to Comey, who wrote the letter to Congress on Oct. 28 informing them of a need to reopen the investigation.

That culminates with this exchange on election day:

Page: “Omg this is [expletive] terrifying.”

Strzok: “Omg, I am so depressed.”

Another text just 5 days after the election Page sent the below text to Strzok.

I bought all the president’s men. Figure I need to brush up on watergate (Nov. 12, 2016 from Lisa Page)

If the mainstream media were doing their jobs people would be going to Gitmo for treason. It is amazing that Strzok and Page are still working for the FBI. Also amazing that Hillary Clinton is still a free woman. And these emails point to the personal involvement of Barack Hussein Obama. It has already been revealed that Hillary Clinton knew no charges would be filed prior to James Comey testimony on email scandal. How did she know that through Barack Hussein Obama personal involvement?

18 quotes from Trump’s Art of the Deal that help him run circles around his competition

negotiation

President Trump is always in a negotiation always has been. The Democrats and his RINO opposition are accustomed to spending other people’s money so their idea of negotiation is not the same as Trump’s. This is why Dick Durbin got spanked like a red-headed step child in the immigration meeting. Trump played him. Told him he would sign whatever bill they brought and take the heat. Then Durbin exposed his hand and Trump told him to pound sand.

What they do not realize is he has made his fortune in deal making. In fact he wrote a very popular book called the art of the deal. Many of these quotes have no doubt guided him in his first year of the Presidency.

MY STYLE of deal-making is quite simple and straightforward. I aim very high, and then I just keep pushing and pushing and pushing to get what I’m after.

I discovered, for the first time but not the last, that politicians don’t care too much what things cost. It’s not their money.

My people keep telling me I shouldn’t write letters like this to critics. The way I see it, critics get to say what they want to about my work, so why shouldn’t I be able to say what I want to about theirs?

I don’t hire a lot of number-crunchers, and I don’t trust fancy marketing surveys. I do my own surveys and draw my own conclusions.

The point is that if you are a little different, or a little outrageous, or if you do things that are bold or controversial, the press is going to write about you.

Leverage: don’t make deals without it.

Because much more often than you’d think, sheer persistence is the difference between success and failure.

I like thinking big. I always have. To me it’s very simple: if you’re going to be thinking anyway, you might as well think big. Most people think small, because most people are afraid of success, afraid of making decisions, afraid of winning. And that gives people like me a great advantage.

Most people think small because they are afraid of success, afraid of making decisions, afraid of winning.

The worst of times often create the best opportunities to make good deals.

“Our country is in serious trouble. We don’t have victories anymore. We used to have victories, but we don’t have them. When was the last time anybody saw us beating, let’s say China, in a trade deal? I beat China all the time. All the time.”

“Sorry losers and haters, but my I.Q. is one of the highest -and you all know it! Please don’t feel so stupid or insecure, it’s not your fault.”

“He’s not a war hero,” Trump explained, shocking the event’s moderator. “He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured

I will build a great wall — and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me –and I’ll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words.”

“I’ve read hundreds of books about China over the decades. I know the Chinese. I’ve made a lot of money with the Chinese. I understand the Chinese mind.”

“good publicity is preferable to bad, but from a bottom-line perspective, bad publicity is sometimes better than no publicity at all. Controversy, in short, sells.”

“And if it can’t be fun, what’s the point?”

“The final key to the way I promote is bravado. I play to people’s fantasies. People may not always think big themselves. but they can get very excited by those who do. That is why a little hyperbole never hurts. People want to believe that something is the biggest, the greatest and the most spectacular.”

Is Climate change the cause for PMS? New study says Global warming can alter personality

climate change

Climate change or global warming could alter people’s personalities according to a new study. And Hillary Clinton claims that global warming is sexist and will affect women the most. Can we logically assume then that global warming is the cause for PMS? I think we can all agree that mood swings and even altered personality are traits of females on PMS so I am going on record to state that global warming is the cause for PMS and something has to be done about it.

The Columbia Business School study is out with the latest bizarre claim about man-made global warming — it could alter people’s personalities.

“As climate change continues across the world, we may also observe concomitant changes in human personality,” reads the study, published in the journal Nature on Tuesday.

Columbia researchers claim temperature is a key factor in determining personality traits. People who grew up in more temperate areas, around 72 degrees Fahrenheit, scored better on five broad personality traits than those who grew up where it’s too hot or too cold.

“Clement temperatures encourage individuals to explore the outside environment, where social interactions and new experiences abound,” Jackson Lu, a Columbia doctoral candidate, said in a statement.

Lu contends that future global warming could mean personality changes across the world over time.

“Venturing outdoors and interacting with lots of people make people more agreeable, conscientious, emotionally stable, extraverted, and open to new experiences,” said Lu. “But when the temperature is too hot or too cold, individuals are less likely to go outside to meet up with friends or to try new activities.”

Hillary Clinton this week decided to speak up on global warming. Clinton trying to say anything that will divert attention from her email scandal and Uranium One involvement implied that global warming is sexist.

“I would say that particularly for women, you’re absolutely right, they will bear the brunt of looking for the  food, looking for the firewood, looking for the place to migrate to when all of the grass is finally gone as the desertification moves south and you have to keep moving your livestock for your crops are no longer growing, they’re burning up in the intense heat that we’re now seeing reported across North Africa, into the Middle East, and into India.”

To me the only logical conclusion using the Columbia study and Hillary Clinton’s bizarre speech is that climate change or global warming is the cause of PMS. I am sure that men and women alike would like something to blame and it might as well be global warming.

Obama buddy Louis Farrakhan calls for an end to White Man, his reason will shock you

white man

Obama buddy Louis Farrakhan calls for an end to White man in a series of Sunday tweets. In one day there are a furry of tweets calling for an end to white people with even some hatred for Jewish people thrown in. Farrakhan first tweets “Why should there be an end to him (White man)? Because his nature is not in harmony with the nature of God.

He goes on to say “White man was only given 6,000 years (6 days) to rule. You cannot deny he has ruled but on what principle did he rule? Righteousness? Truth? Justice? Fairness? I don’t think so.”

Farrakhan the 84 year old leader of the Nation of Islam has made a living spreading hate and fear. He goes on to say murder is in the white man’s nature and calls white men liars.

Aesop said “A man is known by the company he keeps.” Barack Hussein Obama kept company with Louis Farrakhan and the Reverend Jeremiah Wright. Below are two of the more famous racist comments by Wright.

“The government gives them [African Americans] the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing ‘God Bless America.’ No, no, no, God damn America, that’s in the Bible for killing innocent people. God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme.”

After September 11, 2001, he said: “We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back into our own front yards. America’s chickens are coming home to roost.”

It is no wonder that Obama wanted to suppress his friendship with a man who calls for the end of white man and another that says God damn America.

8 Reasons Democrats HATE tax cuts

Democrats hate tax cuts

The Democratic Party had a collective aneurysm this week over passage of the “tax cuts and jobs act”. Why do Democrats hate tax cuts so badly?  Chuck Schumer NY Democrat said of the tax bill  “the GOP seems to think their tax reform plan is the cure for what ails them. We think it’s more like the nail in the coffin.” #GOPTaxScam. Shamefully, Republicans were cheering against the children as they rob from their future and ransack the middle class to reward the rich #GOPTaxScam

Why do the Democrats hate tax cuts so badly? I would argue there are 8  obvious reasons. There may be more but here are the reasons they hate this particular tax bill.

Number one it kills the Obamacare individual mandate. You do remember that Obamacare passed with NO Republican support. And it was Pelosi who said that we had to Pass Obamacare before we could find out what was in it. Well once we found out what was in the bill people did not like what they saw. And the individual mandate was an unconstitutional tax on the American people. John Roberts did not have the balls to say so but it was. Now it is gone and so soon will be Obamacare RIP

The second reason they hate this tax bill is by electing not to participate the Democrats did not have the opportunity to add their pork and pet projects. Make no mistake there are things in the bill like bridges to nowhere that the the Republicans added.

Disclaimer this post contains affiliate link. Please see disclaimer for more information.

Amazon

The third reason Democrats hate tax cuts and this has more to do with fear and intimidation. The rank and file Democrats are more fearful of Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer than Republicans are of McConnell and Ryan. Nancy Pelosi is a complete nut job. But she is also the largest fundraiser for the Democrats and they need that nut job to get re-elected and stay in power.

The fourth reason they hate this tax bill is it limits the amount of state and local taxes that can be written off on your federal taxes. And it limits the mortgage deduction to $850,000. Intentional or not this is a big giant screw you to the blue specks on the national map San Francisco (Pelosi), New York City (Schumer), Chicago (Rahm Emanuel).

The fifth reason Democrats hate tax cuts so badly is they get votes thru dependency and tax cuts do not create dependency. In those large cities San Francisco, Detroit, Chicago, New York City Democrats have been in power for decades by creating dependency in the form of public housing, welfare, food stamps and other public assistance. What has that done for Detroit? Nothing but destroy it and create abandoned houses and buildings.

Number six on the reasons Democrats hate tax cuts is they stay in power by creating class division and envy. Every time a tax cut is proposed and it is not often the Democrats in Congress say the same thing. Tax cuts for the rich. Tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans. People are going to starve and die as a result. This is to create envy of rich people. The rich create jobs and spend money which stimulates the economy.

The seventh reason Democrats hate tax cuts is they know they work. Those that lived through the 80’s know that trickle down economics worked. The economy and job creation was incredible. Since Reagan was President we have had George HW Bush (RINO), Bill Clinton (Far left liberal), George W. Bush (RINO) and Barack Hussein Obama (Socialist) in the White House. Every time tax cuts are tried they work.

Lastly and this is not a reason every time the Democrats are opposed to tax cuts. They hate the provision allowing for drilling in the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge ANWA. Democrats and RINO’s have blocked the decades to protect caribou. US dependence on foreign oil is one of the reasons Obama was bowing to Saudi princes (other than the fact he was an appeasing Muslim.

Cowboy slogan is sexist according to some of the staff at University of Wyoming, Too bad women seem to love it

Cowboys

The University of Wyoming marketing staff worked hard to create a new slogan for the University. They did their homework and tried to be inclusive of all groups and not be offensive to anyone. But as things are in our always offended culture some of the super lib staff at the University are offended by “The World needs more Cowboys.”

The flyer in The Chronicle of Higher Education says “This is not a campaign to reinforce regressive stereotypes of Cowboys from the pop-cultural past, this is a campaign to rewrite them.”

The flier goes on to explain how this campaign is an opportunity to “celebrate people in every corner” because “Cowboys come in every sex, shape, color and creed” at the University of Wyoming.

However for all of the marketing staffs efforts to make the slogan inclusive of every group you can possibly imagine some of the Socialist staff is offended. They see the slogan “The world needs more Cowboys” as sexist.

“This is a sexist slogan,” Faculty Senate president Donal O’Toole told The Chronicle of Higher Education.

Associate professor Christine Porter told the Boomerang that the word “cowboy” makes “almost everybody” picture a white, heterosexual male. The school’s sports mascot, “Pistol Pete,” is a white man in a cowboy hat. Other colleges, including Oklahoma State University and New Mexico State, also have cowboy mascots named Pistol Pete.

Porter also said the slogan is “unacceptable” because the word “boy” excludes anyone who identifies as a woman.

“In 2018 — and really for the past 20 years — it’s not been acceptable to use the generic male to pretend that includes female,” she told the newspaper.

Not all women agreed with the Socialist feminist professor. On Twitter @dalle_rutledge says;“Among all the reasons I can’t take extreme feminism seriously, the University of Wyoming is in hot water for the use of ‘cowboys’ in their new slogan but not ‘cowgirls,’ Twitter user Dalle Rutledge posted. “As the schools mascot ‘cowboy’ is all inclusive term. This is Wyoming folks, get tough or get gone.”

The PC culture has become so ridiculous it is becoming irrelevant. How can you take this Socialist professor seriously? She sounds like the idiot Canadian Prime minister Justin Trudeau wanting citizens to call each other “peoplekind.”

Illegal immigrants are costing American taxpayers 135 Billion per year

illegal immigrants

Another topic we have not heard much about lately is the dreamers or illegal immigrants as I prefer to call them. Before the national anthem debate consumed the minds of America the press favorite story was Trump wanting to deport poor little Latin America children that dream of a better life.

A report has surfaced in the Examiner that says illegal immigrants are costing American taxpayers 135 Billion per year, the highest ever, driven by free medical care (wish I could get that), education (wish I could get that too for my children), and increased law enforcement.

Disclaimer the site contains affiliate link. Please see disclaimer for more information

And despite the left’s claim that the illegal immigrants pay off setting taxes back to federal, state and local treasuries, the Federation for American Immigration Reform reported just $19 billion making the final bill for the illegal immigrants to American taxpayers $116 Billion.

Related post John McCain upset about Joe Arpaio enforcing immigration laws

State and local governments are getting raped by the cost, at over $88 Billion. The federal government share, by comparison is a little over $88 billion. President Trump, Attorney General Jeff Sessions and conservatives in Congress are working aggressively to deal with the illegals, especially those with criminal records. But their efforts are being blocked by the courts and around 300 illegal “sanctuary communities” that refuse to enforce immigration laws.

Related post illegals allowed to vote in Maryland (later rescinded)

In Chicago one of the “sanctuary cities” where mayor Rahm Emanuel refuses to enforce immigration laws the hispanic population grew by 17,000 in 2017. Hispanics are now the second largest ethnic group in the city.

Meanwhile the black population is having a mass exodus to the tune of 42,000 in one year. I have not heard any reporters Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton suggesting that Emanuel is a racist but it sure seems that way.

Chicago and the state of Illinois both face financial crisis. With Chicago over 900 million in debt in 2016 and the state total in the billions. There are many reasons for the debt crisis for the state and city of Chicago, most pointing to decades of corrupt liberal leadership. The  debt would not be eradicated by enforcing the law and  reporting illegal immigrants. But it would be a start.

People leaving San Francisco so fast U-Haul cannot keep up with demand

San Francisco

The number of people packing up and moving out of the Bay Area and San Francisco just hit its highest level in more than a decade.

Carole Dabak spent 40 years living in San Jose and now she’s part of the mass exodus that is showing no signs of slowing down.

The retired engineer’s packing up and calling it quits about to move to the state of Tennessee.

“I loved it here when I first got here. I really loved it here. But it’s just not the same,” Dabak said.

Of course people come and go from the Bay Area all the time, but for the first time in a long time, more people are leaving the Bay Area than are coming in. And the number one place in the country for out-migration is now, right here.

Russell Hancock with Joint Venture Silicon Valley said, “Silicon Valley has been this place that is growing. And it was mostly growing because…people relocating here and relocating from other parts of the world. That’s changing.”

“You can’t even contemplate getting into the housing market here,” Hancock said. “And I don’t mean just service workers, I mean highly skilled professionals. The tech elite is having a hard time affording reasonable housing in Silicon Valley. So this is difficult, this makes it very difficult for employers trying to recruit.”

The U-Haul centers in San Francisco cannot keep up with the demand because the vehicles are leaving in one-way trip they cannot get vehicles back fast enough. The high housing cost are one reason but others are fed up with the sanctuary state status of California and other high cost such as taxes.

People are leaving for other more desirable locations such as Phoenix, Las Vegas, Atlanta, and Nashville. This is probably why Nancy Pelosi has to stand 8 hours for dreamers. Illegals are soon to be if not already the entire Democrat base.
