Racist solar eclipse 2017 ; national magazine claims eclipse is racist it fails to affect enough black people
The racist solar eclipse 2017. A national magazine the Atlantic has made this ridiculous claim that the eclipse is in fact racist. The Atlantic, once a respected magazine has determined that the total eclipse of the sun due to occur on Monday will fail to affect enough black people.
The term racism or racist is in real danger of becoming cliché. It is like the boy who cried wolf. It the eclipse is racist then what about the beach. Does it attract enough black people. Tornadoes are an act of nature and usually occur in rural areas with largely white populous. Are tornadoes racist? In the sports arena, there are some sports such as ice hockey that let’s face it does not have many black participants. Is it racist?
The Atlantics rather long essay on the failure of the ‘racist eclipse’ to occur where a, large number of black people reside is entitled “American Blackout”. It is over 4,000 words long and nothing about it appears to be satire.
Concerning “the Great American Eclipse,” Brooklyn Law School professor Alice Ristroph writes in the rapidly deteriorating magazine, “there live almost no black people” “along most of its path.”
The Atlantic’s obviously liberal law professor assures readers that “implicit bias of the solar system” is “presumably” not the cause of ‘racist eclipse’ failure to affect enough black people.
“Still, an eclipse chaser is always tempted to believe that the skies are relaying a message.”
Oregon, where the eclipse will first appear in the continental United States, “is almost entirely white.” “There are very few black Oregonians, and this is not an accident.” It’s totally on purpose in 2017, The Atlantic claims, because the Pacific Northwest state had a “racial exclusion” clause in its original 1857 constitution.
The Atlantic notes that the ‘racist eclipse’ will then move toward Wyoming and Idaho, which also have very low populations of black people.
Next, The Atlantic traces the path of the eclipse to “overwhelmingly white rural areas” in the Deep South. There’s much discussion of the Civil War and much talk about “the glib view” America’s commoners have concerning Civil War history. Dylann Roof, who murdered nine people in the name of white supremacy, rates a mention.
This is just ridiculous crap and the reason liberal rags like the Atlantic are hanging on by a shoe string. I realize as do most people racism exist, and it exist on both sides. White and black people have racist feelings and thoughts.
It is wrong to discriminate against someone based on their race, creed or religion. Yet it exist all around the world and we all recognize it. But saying the eclipse is racist just proves to the world what a liberal rag the Atlantic is.
