Lindsey Graham says Mohammed bin Salmon has got to go in wake of proof of journalist murder

  1. Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., recent convert to the Trump train and becoming one of Trump’s biggest supporters. Graham is also one of Saudi Arabia’s most vocal defenders in Congress, Graham said Tuesday that the kingdom’s powerful crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman, has “got to go” and vowed never to return to the country as long as the young leader remains in power.

The Associated Press reported today that Jamal Khashoggi was killed in the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul. The Saudi’s are busy putting together a story that Khashoggi was accidentally killed  during an interrogation against rouge fighters.

That story is probably not going to hold water since a Consulate is more than likely heavily guarded facility. How did these rogue agents get in unless the Saudi representatives let them in.

President Trump even seemed to float the idea of rogue agents carrying out the assassination as the administration really does not want to damage relations with the most trusted allie in the Middle East.

“Saudi Arabia, if you’re listening, there are a lot of good people you can choose,” Graham said. “But MBS (Mohammed bin Salman)  has tainted your country and tainted yourself.”

Graham was responding to journalist Jamal Khashoggi  entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul to get documents concerning a divorce so he could remarry and never exiting. His fiance was waiting outside. Khashoggi had been highly critical of Mohammed bin Salman reformist regime.

Graham went on to say he would “sanction the hell out of Saudi Arabia” if they are guilty of murdering the journalist. And he would be in favor of reducing arms sales to the kingdom if they are found to be responsible for the murder.

“This guy has got to go,” Graham said Tuesday of Mohammed bin Salman. Then, turning directly to the camera, Graham issued a striking plea that seemed to urge a power shuffle in the country.

“Saudi Arabia, if you’re listening, there are a lot of good people you can choose,” Graham said. “But MBS has tainted your country and tainted yourself.”
