Prosperity Preacher asking followers for 54 million dollars for jet “God wants him to have it”
Prosperity Preacher Jesse Duplantis is asking his followers for 54 million dollars for a Falcon 7X jet to spread God’s word. This months after televangelist Kenneth Copeland acquired a multi-million dollar Gulfstream V for “the Lord’s work.
“You know I’ve owned three different jets in my life and used them and used them and just burning them up for the Lord,” the Louisiana-based televangelist says in a video, appealing for funds, on This week with Jesse.”
“Now some people believe that preachers shouldn’t have jets. I really believe that preachers ought to go on every available voice, every available outlet, to get this gospel preached to the world,” he adds.
Duplantis wants the jet so he can go to places non-stop which he cannot do with his current jet. He adds that God has asked him to believe Him for a Falcon 7X, and not to pay for it.
“Jesse, I didn’t ask you to pay for it. I asked you to believe for it,” he claims God told him.
“I really believe that if Jesus was physically on the earth today he wouldn’t be riding a donkey. Think about that for a minute. He’d be in an airplane preaching the gospel all over the world,” he adds.
In 2015 prosperity preacher Creflo Dollar faced intense criticism for asking followers for 65 million dollars for a private jet.
Prosperity preachers such as Copeland, Dollar, Joel Olstein and Jesse Duplantis are misrepresenting the gospel of Jesus Christ. Yes as Christians we can be prosperous. But does this mean that God loves a Christian less that is poor in Haiti or a missionary in Bangladesh?
The Apostle Paul says in Phillipians 4:10-13 10 I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you were concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it.11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
Pretty sure if Paul or Jesus were on the earth today they would not be a prosperity preacher trying to scam their followers out of 54 million for a jet.
