CNN surprised when they ask wife of deported man if she blames President Trump
CNN was shocked by the answer they received from Cindy Garcia the wife of deported man says the President was just enforcing laws. Garcia’s husband Jorge is not a criminal says Garcia. He came to the country as a 10 year old illegally but has not broken any laws.
CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin started the segment by criticizing the Trump administration for separating children from their families and played a clip of the Garcia family crying as their father was being picked up for deportation.
Baldwin asked Garcia if she was upset with President Trump over her husband being deported. Her answer shocked the CNN anchor.
“I am not upset at our government due to the fact that I am a U.S. citizen and that our laws come first,” Garcia said. “Our laws are just broken and need to be fixed.”
“I can’t be mad at Trump for doing his job because that is his job to protect us as U.S. citizens from criminals,” she added, before explaining that her husband is not a criminal and suggesting immigration law be reformed to focus only on criminal illegal immigrants.
“For the criminals that have come here illegally, they need to go back,” Garcia concluded.
The facts are that the deported man broke the law. The laws are written to be enforced. The fact that he was here 30 years or more illegally are irrelevant. It is absolutely not fair to immigrants who enter the country legally and wait and go through the citizenship process.
