Now Jimmy Carter says pulling out of Iran nuclear deal “serious mistake” what a joke the President who let Iran hold hostages for 444 days speaks up
Former President Jimmy Carter has chimed in with his partner PACIFIST Barack Hussein Obama and deemed President Trump pulling out of the Iran nuclear deal as a “serious mistake.”
Many of you either were not born or will not remember the Iran hostage crisis under President Jimmy Carter. On November 4, 1979, a group of Iranian students stormed the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, taking more than 60 American hostages. The immediate cause of this action was President Jimmy Carter’s decision to allow Iran’s deposed Shah, a pro-Western autocrat who had been expelled from his country some months before, to come to the United States for cancer treatment.
Now Jimmy Carter tells CNN that backing out of the Iran nuclear deal “may be the worst mistake President Trump has made so far.”
“When a president signs an agreement, it should be binding on all his successors, unless the situation changes dramatically, and it hasn’t changed,” Carter said in the CNN interview Wednesday.
Carter, who was president from 1976 to 1980, said that exiting the deal shows North Korea that the U.S. might not honor its commitments.
“I think it signals a message to North Korea that if the United States signs an agreement, it may or may not be honored,” Carter said.
Then President Jimmy Carter made a serious mistake with the Shah of Iran. A mistake only a pacifist like Carter or Obama would make. They trusted terrorist. Carter considered Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi an ally and friend.
In December 1977, he visited Tehran and toasted the shah for making Iran “an island of stability” and for “the admiration and love which your people give you.” It was a delusional toast, one that demonstrated a total lack of understanding of historical legacies and the political fires raging in Iran.
Carter did not realize that the Shah’s popularity was failing and Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini would soon take command. The Shah had cancer and after some negotiations and pleading from pacifist American groups Carter allowed him to come to America for treatment. This pissed the Iranians and the Ayatollah off so bad they stormed the US embassy and took the hostages.
The American hostages in Iran were not released until the first day Ronald Reagan took office. Ronald Reagan was a man the Iranians knew not to mess with just as Trump is today. The “serious mistake” was for this country to elect pacifist such as Jimmy Carter and America hating pacifist Barack Hussein Obama.
