President Trump says we are not in a trade war that war was lost years ago
President Trump says we are not in a trade war with China, that war was lost long ago. The markets are very volatile the past couple of weeks with all the talk of a trade war. But the President is right what is happening is not a trade war but a negotiation. And President Trump is the master of negotiation.
In the art of the deal businessman Trump said the below about negotiation.
“Get going. Move forward. Aim High. Plan a takeoff. Don’t just sit on the runway and hope someone will come along and push the airplane. It simply won’t happen. Change your attitude and gain some altitude. Believe me, you’ll love it up here.”
Trump is aiming high with China. He goes on in his tweet to say that foolish or incompetent, people who represent the U.S negotiated bad deals in the past. Now we have a trade deficit of $500 billion a year, with intellectual property theft of another $300 billion. We cannot allow this to continue!

Stuart Varney of Varney & Co. calls the stock market backlash to Trump tariffs an “emotional response to the words trade war.” Varney goes on to say “Would you like to hold on for a moment? These tariffs have not been imposed. They are proposals. The talks continue beneath the surface. Nobody has yet levied a tax on any import coming into America or any export from America going to China. They are proposals only.”
The press and this includes Fox News are reporting on the tariffs as if they are already in place. But they are not this is a negotiation. At least President Trump has the balls to bring up the subject with China. They have been allowed to screw the United States long enough.
