Tuesday’s school shooting in Maryland could have turbo charged the left and media darling David Hogg gun grabbing debate. But it didn’t because it doesn’t fit their narrative so the coverage died quickly.
There is one huge fact about the gunman and the weapon he used that should leave the gun debate over school shooting as dead as the Great Mills High school shooter.
According to the Baltimore Sun Maryland’s tough gun control laws make it difficult for even adults to possess the Glock handgun 17-year-old Austin Rollins was wielding when he was shot to death in a confrontation with an alert sheriff’s deputy stationed at the school.
“He responded exactly as we train our personnel to respond,” St. Mary’s County Sheriff Tim Cameron told the Sun. Whether Gaskill shot Rollins or Rollins shot himself, the violence ended when the deputy appeared on the scene.
When President Trump proposed armed guards in schools in response to the February shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, Democrats and their media supporters went a collective insane.
The left insisted that the only way to solve the school shooting problem was of course to take away 2nd amendment rights. Florida was swift to respond to David Hogg and his group of paid protesters and raise the minimum age to by a gun to 21. Never mind the fact that would have not stopped the Florida shooter since he was 19 and already breaking the law.
Time after time in crimes it is proven the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. Socialist on the left do not want to necessarily prevent school shootings. They just want to take away our rights. The constitution is the enemy of the left.
