Jeff Flake compares President Trump’s treatment of the press to Joseph Stalin
Jeff Flake Republican Senator from Arizona has compared President Trump’s treatment of the press to Joseph Stalin. According to the Politico Flake said that President Donald Trump’s declaration that media is “the enemy of the people” is a throwback to Josef Stalin that should have no place in political discourse.
“I’m saying he borrowed that phrase,” Flake told MSNBC‘s Kasie Hunt of Trump’s choice of words. “It was popularized by Josef Stalin, used by Mao as well — enemy of the people. It should be noted that Nikita Khrushchev who followed Stalin, forbade its use, saying that was too loaded and that it maligned a whole group or class of people, and it shouldn’t be done.
“I don’t think that we should be using a phrase that’s been rejected as too loaded by a Soviet dictator.”
For you snowflakes or millennial’s that were educated in the US Socialist Universities and school systems Joseph Stalin was a ruthless murderous Soviet (Communist) dictator. And I know that your Socialist Professors have aided in your love for Socialism as evident of your desire for Bernie Sanders to be US President. But Communism and Socialism have been proven to destroy people’s lives and are largely anti Christian.

Senator Flake a RINO (Republican in name only) announced in October he will not run for re-election so the swamp is in fact being drained. Flake denounced the “complicity” of his own party in what he called an “alarming and dangerous state of affairs” under Trump, blaming the President for setting the tone. In his speech, Flake assailed a “flagrant disregard for truth or decency” and attacked a “regular and casual undermining of our democratic norms.”
“When such behavior emanates from the top of our government, it is something else: It is dangerous to a democracy,” Flake said.
Flake said he did not enjoy sparring with Trump. “If I have been critical, it’s not because I relish criticizing the behavior of the President of the United States,” Flake said. “If I have been critical, it is because I believe that it is my obligation to do so, as a matter of duty and conscience.”
Jeff Flake does not agree with President Trump calling news sources that lie “fake news”
“Those of us who travel overseas, especially to war zones and other troubled areas around the globe, encounter members of U.S.-based media who risk their lives, and sometimes lose their lives, reporting on the truth,” Flake will say. “To dismiss their work as fake news is an affront to commitment and their sacrifice.”
Flake said in December that he believes Trump is certain to get a Republican challenger in 2020 and he does not rule out a challenge against the President. That would be fun to see President Trump wipe the floor with this Democrat want to be.
