AG Jeff Sessions to end Obama era policy that let marijuana sales flourish, just as California prepares to get high
Attorney General Jeff Sessions is set to end the Obama era policy that let marijuana sales flourish. The Trump administration continues to unravel the Socialistic free-living policies of Barack Hussein Obama.Sessions will let federal prosecutors where pot is legal decide how aggressive to enforce the law.
California on January 1 just became the worlds largest legal recreational marijuana sales market. The way Hollywood acts most of them were already stoned but this will increase the market even further. California will treat pot in a similar way as alcohol allowing people 21 and older to possess up to an ounce of pot and grow six marijuana plants at home. The state in December began licensing businesses for the new economy, including retailers who will sell it and distributors who will move it from fields to storefronts.

The move my Sessions and the President may further confuse states that are already selling marijuana. California has already launched pot shops Colorado has had pot vending machines for some time now. CNN New Years correspondents made a big deal out of smoking pot on the broadcast live. Marijuana sales flourish already in Colorado.
For Sessions this is a personal crusade not necessarily a strong policy view of the Presidents. Sessions has long believed that pot sales leads to increased violence. Advocates for legal pot argue that by making it legal the need for a black market is decreased which will lead to decreased violence.
The Obama administration in 2013 announced it would not stand in the way of states legalizing marijuana as long as it did not migrate to neighboring states where the drug is still illegal.
Sessions is rescinding that rule that let marijuana sales flourish written by Obama Deputy Attorney General James M. Cole. It was believed that the policy would clear up confusion between states allowing marijuana sales for recreational and medicinal purposes. Now that the adults have taken back over the White House the pot heads will have to do it illegally again.
