Matt Lauer fired for inappropriate sexual behavior, what the press are perverts too?
Matt Lauer has been fired from the “Today show after an employee complained of inappropriate sexual behavior. The “Today” show is one of the most popular and profitable franchises on American television. Matt Lauer has been the anchor for more than twenty years and makes tens of millions of dollars per year.
Savannah Guthrie made the announcement at the top of the “Today” show. “We are devastated,” she said.
So his sudden ouster came as a shock to viewers — but not as a complete surprise to his “Today” show colleagues. They knew that multiple news outlets were investigating Lauer’s off-camera conduct.

NBC News chairman Andrew Lack said in an early morning memo to staff that the complaint was filed on Monday night. Lack said it was the first complaint lodged against Lauer in his career at the network. But he also said “we were also presented with reason to believe this may not have been an isolated incident.”
Matt it is funny how karma comes back to bite you in the butt. Lauer in October grilled Bill O’Reilly on the “Today” show concerning his dismissal for sexual harassment an excerpts are below.
“You were probably the last guy in the world that they wanted to fire, because you were the guy that the ratings and the revenues were built on — you carried that network on your shoulders for a lot of years,” Lauer said. “So doesn’t it seem safe to assume that the people at Fox News were given a piece of information, or given some evidence, that simply made it impossible for you to stay on at Fox News?”
O’Reilly said that was a “false assumption.”
“There were a lot of other business things in play at that time and still today that 21st Century was involved with,” O’Reilly said. “And it was a business decision that they made. But there isn’t any smoking gun.”
“But you don’t let your No. 1 guy go unless you have information that you think makes him…” Lauer said, trailing off.
Lauer is the latest high-profile man in media to be brought down by allegations of inappropriate sexual behavior. Just last week, CBS News fired one of its own morning anchors, Charlie Rose, after a report in The Washington Post chronicled years of alleged sexual misconduct on his part.
The torrent began when The New York Times and The New Yorker reported on allegations against the Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein.
Since then, actors Kevin Spacey and Louis C.K. have been suspended or removed from projects after allegations against them became public. And other prominent journalists, including Mark Halperin of NBC and Michael Oreskes of NPR, have been fired or suspended from their jobs.
Matt Lauer is a hypocrite and so are most of the press. They pass judgement on others including Bill O’ Reilly. Expect a torrent of sympathy for Lauer from the left because of their unbelief that one of their superstars could be guilty of sexual harassment. But Lauer is just the same as Bill Clinton, Harvey Weinstein , Charlie Rose, and Ben Affleck. Powerful men who think their power gives them the right to do whatever they want to do.
