Brother speaks out against Weinstein
Bob Weinstein brother of Harvey speaks out against his sleazball Hollywood producer brother. Says his brother is a “walking nightmare” and “I want him to get the punishment he deserves”.
Bob Weinstein co-founder of the company he founded with his brother is left to pick up the pieces. With uncertainty among board members staying on and rumors of the company being sold Bob is being resilient yet frustrated with his brothers behavior.
But right now, even as he struggles to right the company (of which he and Harvey both own about 20 percent each), he’s also coping with his own sense of shame and betrayal, expressing sympathy for Harvey’s victims while also questioning whether he should have done more in the face of Harvey’s alleged abusive behavior. Bob, who worked mostly in Los Angeles while Harvey presided over TWC’s New York offices, says he’s barely spoken to his brother over the past five years. “I could not take his cheating, his lying and also his attitude toward everyone,” he says. While he says he knew his brother was unfaithful to wife Georgina Chapman, Bob insists he had no idea about “the type of predator that he was” and is sickened by Harvey’s seeming lack of remorse. “I have a brother that’s indefensible and crazy,” says Bob, adding, “I want him to get the justice that he deserves.”
Bob Weinstein apparently has only spoken with his brother around 10 times the past 5 years. Bob, operated in the shadow of his much more public sexual predator older brother for more than 30 years as they partnered in Miramax and, more recently, The Weinstein Co. But in an interview published Saturday by The Hollywood Reporter, he said that he and Harvey, 65, have barely spoken in five years. The brothers ran separate divisions of their company, from opposite coasts — Bob in Los Angeles, Harvey in New York.
Harvey Weinstein brother speaking out about his sleazeball brothers sexual predator past, along with all of the Hollywood hypocrites and Democrat politicians that knew about his behavior prove what a cesspool Hollywood has become.
