DACA to end, watch how fast inept Congress fixes this Obama lawlessness
DACA will formally end in March of 2018- this is a program that had protected nearly 800,000 illegal immigrants brought to the US as children from deportation.
The Department of Homeland Security will stop processing any new applications for the program as of Tuesday and rescinded the Obama administration policy, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals.
“I am here today to announce that the program known as DACA that was established under the Obama administration is being rescinded,” Attorney General Jeff Sessions said Tuesday at the Justice Department. The elephant in the room is Barack Hussein Obama was anti-America and looking to destroy this country from the inside out.
In a statement after his agencies and attorney general announced the decision, President Donald Trump blamed former President Barack Hussein Obama for creating the program through executive authority and urged Congress to come up with a solution. “It is now time for Congress to act!” he said.
Trump said that winding down the program would be more considerate than letting the courts end it, but emphasized he stands by his “America First” agenda.
“As I’ve said before, we will resolve the DACAissue with heart and compassion — but through the lawful Democratic process — while at the same time ensuring that any immigration reform we adopt provides enduring benefits for the American citizens we were elected to serve,” Trump said. “We must also have heart and compassion for unemployed, struggling and forgotten Americans.”
The administration also announced a plan to continue renewing permits for anyone whose status expires in the next six months, giving Congress time to act before any currently protected individuals lose their ability to work, study and live without fear in the US.
Sessions had determined that the program would not be likely to withstand that court challenge, he said.
“The Department of Justice cannot defend this overreach,” Sessions said. “There is nothing compassionate about the failure to enforce immigration laws. Enforcing the law saves lives, protects communities and taxpayers, and prevents human suffering. Failure to enforce the laws in the past has put our nation at risk of crime, violence and even terrorism. The compassionate thing is to end the lawlessness, (and) enforce our laws.”
Congress is on a deadline to fix this truly awful Obama boondoggle. And we know how well they have worked lately on fixing the biggest fubar (google this if not sure of meaning) program from the Obama administration Obamacare. And they will more than likely end up fumbling before the goal line on tax cuts. This Congress is completely impotent but you watch how critical it will become to save this program for illegal immigrants. Below are some of the Republican RINO’s including Lindsey Grahamnesty’s early comments.
- Speaker Paul Ryan (a complete joke): “These are kids who know no other country, who were brought here by their parents and don’t know another home. And so, I really do believe there that there needs to be a legislative solution.”
- Orrin Hatch (another RINO complete joke):We need “a workable, permanent solution for individuals … who have built their lives here.”
- Florida Gov. Rick Scott: “These kids must be allowed to pursue the American Dream, and Congress must act on this immediately.”
- Jeff Flake (more unpopular than Mitch McConnell and that is saying a lot): “Congress needs to take immediate action to protect #DACAkids.”
I do feel sorry for children of illegal immigrant in the DACA mess. Just as I feel sorry for children of a parent convicted of murder, or the child of a rapist, or children forced to live with idiot crack head parents. But the fact remains that these children (and all of them are not little children as liberals would have us believe are here illegally. What is the purpose of laws if they are not going to be enforced?
